Technology Transforming Trucking

Today I read a great article/interview with Tom McLeod – President/CEO of McLeod Software. Tom states change is always happening in the trucking industry. Change is an opportunity for those who are prepared to embrace it.

In my opinion, Trucking over the last few years is like being a good accountant, doctor or lawyer, you must continue to be educated all the time. That means you must be well read, ask questions, perform inquiries and determine what technologies make the most sense for your operation and begin to implement them to optimize daily operations and how-to use technology to accomplish your strategic goals.

Technology is now being used to generate RFP’s, improve the driver dispatch experience and improve customer service by generating realistic and accurate ETA’s.
